Popiah


OPEN 9am to 2 pm everyday, including Chinese new Year









Making Popiah at home 
The most important ingredient is the filling:
1.  Bangkwan (chinese turnip)  shredded with food processor (larger blade).
2.  Cabbage - shredded with the slicer blade
3.  Carrots - shredded with the smaller blade
4.  Garlic - pounded
5.  Dried shrimp - pounded
6.  Seasoning... Worcester sauce (or light soya sauce), salt, pepper

Method
fry garlic and dried shrimp
Add turnip
Add carrots
Add cabbage
Seasoning
Simmer till soft
Adjust seasoning
DO NOT ADD WATER 
.
Side ingredients
Chinese lettuce ...washed and enough for everyone to have one leaf on their popiah
Prawns...boiled and chopped
Lapcheong or Bak kua
Cucumber ...sliced with larger blade
Bean sprouts...plucked and blanched
Eggs...boiled and chopped
Chinese parsley (coriander)..cut into small pieces
Taukwa ( hard bean curd, cream in colour) diced and fried
